2 Injured in Small Plane Crash in Shakopee

Two people were injured in a small plane crash in Shakopee on Monday afternoon. The plane crashed in a field near the intersection of County Road 101 and Dodd Boulevard at approximately 2:30 p.m.

According to the Shakopee Police Department, the plane was a single-engine Piper Cherokee. The pilot and passenger were the only two people on board.

Both the pilot and passenger were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board.
