45-Year-Old VW Driver Seriously Injured in Fuhrberg Accident: Police Seek Witnesses

Police in Burgdorf are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Fuhrberg on Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred at around 6.30am on the L382 Landesstraße between Fuhrberg and Oldhorst.

A 45-year-old man from Hanover was driving a black VW Golf in the direction of Oldhorst when he was involved in a collision with a white VW Transporter van traveling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the Golf sustained serious injuries in the crash and was taken to hospital by air ambulance. The driver of the Transporter, a 53-year-old man from the Burgdorf district, also suffered injuries and was taken to hospital.

The L382 was closed for several hours while emergency services worked at the scene. Police are now appealing for witnesses to the collision to come forward.

Investigators are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have seen either of the vehicles involved in the lead-up to the crash.
